Don’t Blow It Co. established in 2012 as Don’t Blow The Illusion was founded by Lifestyle Photographer Robin Waters. Her vision is to bring unique, vintage-inspired imagery from her travels, memories and vulnerabilities to the world in the form of quality + sustainable swim and street wear.

Don't Blow The Illusion is life's contradictions. It's the constant conflict that goes on inside the mind: how we want to live versus how we have been made to believe we should. 

The initial idea to do a tank line surfaced on a road trip from Ontario, Canada to Southern California. I remember passing through the side streets of Seal Beach and imagining selling tanks with my photos on them out of the back of my car. Why I hadn't thought to do this before -I'm not sure; I was raised on a beach. Maybe when you escape the limits of the only life you've known your imagination becomes even less constrained. What I do know is that I followed through and the final product is even better than I had imagined it could be. Don't Blow The Illusion is what happens when Eastern Canadian cottage country meets West Coast culture.

DBTI is the passing thought that often goes dismissed -maybe this could all just be a dream, a mirage of the mind, an illusion.

Gutterdust’s

Palmtree Collective is much, much more than an artistic approach towards photography. Gutterdust shot all of these images on film. The archaic analogue process that makes a partnership with the artist. Knobs are twisted, chemicals used and mechanical mistakes made, the convoluted route that embraces these fabulous flawed results. Splashed with light leaks, and the brushes strokes of multiple and over exposures the images are authentic and evocative with strong scents of summer breeze and fresh cut lawn. They are a refined collection of wonderfully tactile textures with a top down wind in the hair feeling that Gutterdust has developed into the Palmtree Collective.

From Santa Monica to Bali with palm stops between, the Palmtree Collective are images Gutterdust shot across the Globe.. Momentos of tropical daliances in gilded lands. Whimsical in execution. Moody and exotic in realisation.
