Don't Blow The Illusion is life's contradictions. It's the constant conflict that goes on inside the mind: how we want to live versus how we have been made to believe we should.
The initial idea to do a tank line surfaced on a road trip from Ontario, Canada to Southern California. I remember passing through the side streets of Seal Beach and imagining selling tanks with my photos on them out of the back of my car. Why I hadn't thought to do this before -I'm not sure; I was raised on a beach. Maybe when you escape the limits of the only life you've known your imagination becomes even less constrained. What I do know is that I followed through and the final product is even better than I had imagined it could be. Don't Blow The Illusion is what happens when Eastern Canadian cottage country meets West Coast culture.
DBTI is the passing thought that often goes dismissed -maybe this could all just be a dream, a mirage of the mind, an illusion.
